Erin joined Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports as Executive Director in 2001. Prior to that she worked in the ski industry as a ski instructor, coach and program coordinator. Erin has been actively involved with the Professional Ski Instructors of America since 1987 and holds her Level III Alpine Ski Instructors Certification. Erin grew up in NJ and has been living in Vermont since 1991; she and her husband, Phil, spend their free time with their daughter, Ebe, enjoying the outdoors with friends and family and volunteering for community programs. Erin loves to share her passion for the outdoors and takes pride in the growth of Vermont Adaptive. She is always inspired by the people who volunteer and the top notch staff that helps the organization reach its mission. She graduated from Vermont College with a degree in Human Services and holds her Certification in Non-Profit Management from Marlboro Graduate School.
Felicia assumed the role of Program Director in late 2024 after being program manager since the summer of 2022. Prior to that, she was the Program Coordinator for Sugarbush and Central Vermont programs for four years. She holds a Master’s in Therapeutic Recreation Administration from UNH as well as a Bachelor’s in Recreation Management & Policy. Prior to completing her master’s degree, she interned with the Adaptive Sports Center in Crested Butte, Colorado. Her areas of expertise include adaptive sports & recreation, youth programming, camp programming, event planning, mountain biking and snowboarding.
Tom began at Vermont Adaptive as a volunteer at Pico Mountain in 2010, became the Stoughton Pond program coordinator in 2011, then took over as program coordinator for Pico Mountain and Rutland/Killington region in 2012and has been our Senior Program Coordinator sine 2013. Before Vermont Adaptive, Tom worked in the human services industry for over five years and prior to that spent many years in the tourism/hospitality industry. Tom is originally from the Philadelphia area and moved to Vermont in 1993. Tom received his degree in Human Services, is certified in “ The Zones of Regulation” an approach to support emotional/behavioral self-regulation in students. He enjoys free time with his family, alpine touring in the morning, is a well-traveled music enthusiast and gourmet foodie.
Betsy began at Vermont Adaptive in August 2022 after spending time as a volunteer and jumped in feet first with fall programs in Burlington and preparing for the Winter 2022-23 season at Bolton Valley. She was most recently the program coordinator at Essex Parks and Recreation where she ran after school enrichment programs, soccer programming and an outdoor summer camp. She holds a B.A. from the University of Vermont and an M.A. from American University. In her free time, she enjoys mountain biking, rock climbing, hiking, skiing and playing soccer.
Oliver joined the Vermont Adaptive team in December of 2024 as a Program Coordinator for the Sugarbush Resort location and Central Vermont. After graduating with a bachelor of arts degree from Hampshire College, Oliver moved to Burlington, Vermont in January 2022. Oliver was most recently a Direct Support Professional for Champlain Community Services where he supported individuals with intellectual disabilities in achieving their goals. He has also worked as a tennis instructor and an outdoor educator on and off since 2017. In his free time, Oliver likes to rock climb, Snowboard and play tennis.
Allie joined Vermont Adaptive in October of 2023. Before that, she was a summer program intern at the Pico/Killington location in 2022. From a young age, she has been volunteering with adaptive sports in the East Tennessee and North Carolina region. Born and raised in Knoxville, TN, she graduated in 2020 from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a B.S. in Food Science and minor in Hospitality and Tourism. Allie gained her Nutritional Therapy Certification from Nutritional Therapy Association. After college, she moved to Lake Tahoe, CA and became a ski instructor at Palisades Tahoe, Olympic Valley, while rafting on the Truckee River for the summers. After traveling through the Western U.S., Allie made the move to southern Vermont. In her free time she loves spending time outdoors hiking, trail running, skiing, climbing, reading and going to concerts.
Demery joined the Vermont Adaptive team as a Program Specialist in October of 2023. Raised in New England, she loves to share the wonders of our local landscapes with anybody who’s curious, and is particularly passionate about skill sharing and stewardship. She began her adventure sports instructor journey at Saint Michael’s College, where she received a B.S. in Environmental Science and Political Science, as well as an endorsement in Adventure Sports Coaching. Through their Adventure Sports Center, Demery led rock and ice climbing, mountaineering, mountain biking, whitewater and sea kayaking, and hiking/backpacking trips. She became the student climbing coordinator and was able to mentor and facilitate trainings for new instructors. Demery worked for Petra Cliffs Mountaineering School for 4 years, with climbers of all ages and abilities. She has particularly enjoyed teaching the Women’s Climbing Clinics, the University of Vermont’s Rock Climbing class, co-guiding ice climbing clinics during the Smuggler’s Notch Ice Bash, as well as leading kayaking and walking naturalist educational programs. She is a Ladies Climbing Coalition Ambassador, volunteering to facilitate meetups and programs to empower and connect women through climbing. Demery has volunteered to lead workshops on Leave No Trace, Tree ID, trail work for climbers, and various stewardship projects for CRAG VT’s Vermont Climbing Festival since the first one in 2019. Demery has been a ski and bike park patroller at Bolton Valley Ski Area since 2021, and has worked with the trail crew during a few shoulder seasons. She has also led trail crews for the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps, building and maintaining sustainable trails all around Vermont, as well as an invasive species removal crew kayaking all along Lake Champlain and its tributaries. In 2022 she was the Northern Lead Caretaker for the Green Mountain Club, educating hikers on Vermont’s alpine zones and performing trail and shelter maintenance along the Long Trail. Most recently Demery was the Trails Specialist Assistant for Burlington Parks in the Conservation Department, a role where she was able to maintain the parks and trails closest to her home and local community.
Misha Pemble-Belkin served nine years as an Army Paratrooper from 2006 through 2015. He successfully completed two combat tours to the Kunar Provence of Afghanistan with a total of 27 months spent in country. On his second tour he was injured and required a medical retirement from the service in 2015. Misha Pemble-Belkin became a participant of Vermont Adaptive Veteran Venture Program during the Winter of 2015-2016. He then interned with Vermont Adaptive during the winter and summer of 2017, and then began a VA Work Study that fall. Misha graduated with a degree in S.T.E.M. Studies from the Community College of Vermont in 2017 and is working on a Recreational Therapy degree from Florida International University.
Sarah joined the Vermont Adaptive team in October of 2022 as a program coordinator for the Sugarbush Resort location and programs in Central Vermont and moved into the Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator role in December 2024. After achieving her Bachelors of Arts from Bates College in Maine, she moved out west to ski instruct. Sarah worked for 4 years as the Assistant Supervisor of the adaptive program at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, and relocated to Vermont. Her other work experience includes being a recreation specialist for adults with disabilities for the Northeast ARC, an intern for the Special Olympics of Massachusetts, and a volunteer for many SOMA soccer, basketball, and Young Athletes leagues around Massachusetts.
Vermont Adaptive has been a part of Sarah’s life for 24 years—ever since her little brother started skiing at Sugarbush with Vermont Adaptive at age three! She is stoked to finally return to her home mountain, Mt. Ellen, and have the opportunity to become part of the Mad River Valley community. She currently lives in Warren with her cats: Ollie and Arlo. She loves being outdoors experiencing nature through skiing, mountain biking, gravel riding, climbing, hiking, and camping. When not adventuring outside, Sarah can usually be found reading, puzzling, or learning new craft!
Molly began volunteering at Vermont Adaptive in 2018 and has since interned for both Burlington summer programming and Pushback/CORE Connections. Her love for adventure sports and helping others has kept her seeking new opportunities with Vermont Adaptive and she became the program coordinator for Burlington and Bolton Valley. In the Fall of 2022 she returned to the University of Vermont to start a doctoral program in occupational therapy but will continue with Vermont Adaptive as a part-time coordinator. Molly is a recent graduate of Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, VT where she studied biology and was a student instructor for the Adventure Sports Center. Growing up on the coast of Maine, Molly has an affinity towards water sports, road biking, and sunrises but Vermont’s skiing and mountains have kept her around. She is excited to start this next adventure and continue to learn and grow with the program.

Since joining Vermont Adaptive in 2013, Kim has played a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s strategic communications and development efforts. Her expertise in crafting impactful campaigns through storytelling and building strong relationships has significantly advanced Vermont Adaptive’s mission.
Prior to her work at Vermont Adaptive, Kim spent over five years running her own public relations firm, where Vermont Adaptive was a valued client. With more than 25 years of experience, she has been a trusted voice in the outdoor, ski, tourism, and public relations industries. Kim’s career spans from her early days as a journalist for publications like The Boston Globe and The Gloucester Daily Times to serving as PR Director and Communications Manager for major organizations, including Killington Resort. Her work includes securing media placements in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Sports Illustrated, and hundreds of local and regional news outlets, to leveraging her network for impactful storytelling and strategic fundraising campaigns.
Kim’s work has earned her accolades, including the Vermont Travel Industry Conference Marketing Excellence Award and the Bob Gillen Memorial Award from the North American Snowsports Journalists Association.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Kim actively contributes to the Vermont tourism and nonprofit sectors. She serves on the board of the Vermont Tourism Summit, is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Public Relations Society of America, and has been a guest lecturer and service-learning partner at the University of Vermont. She holds a B.A. in Journalism from the University of New Hampshire and a Nonprofit Management Certificate from Marlboro College Graduate and Professional Studies.
A long-time member of the Killington community, Kim finds joy in Vermont’s natural beauty. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, kayaking, hiking, and spending time by the ocean with her husband and daughter.
Jeff is the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Business Development and has been a volunteer at Vermont Adaptive since 2012 before joining the staff in the Fall of 2017. Jeff represents Vermont Adaptive on the Vermont Mountain Bike Association and Vermont Outdoor Business Alliance JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) Committees. He is passionate about making sure everyBODY has access to play in Vermont.
He has worked in the NFL, MLB and Major Indoor Soccer League, as well as various minor league affiliates. Jeff has an Environmental Science degree yet owned a Marketing and Events firm in Philadelphia. He created Mascots and Marketing campaigns for a client list including Penn Maid Dairy, Wawa, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Zoo and New Jersey State Aquarium. He moved to Vermont in 2006 and managed events for Okemo Mountain Resort and then spent six years as the Events and Sponsorships Manager at Killington Resort and Pico Mountain.
He has a Visually Impaired and Cognitive Adaptive Snowboard and BICP Adaptive Mountain Bike Instruction Certifications and is an avid outdoorsman who loves to slide sideways, downhill and cross country mountain bike, hike and paddleboard with his wife and daughter. He’s also the Barn Manager for Mother Pucker Farm, where his family has 2 horses, 3 donkeys, a rabbit and dog. His claim to fame is being a Pro-Bowl Mascot for the Philadelphia Eagles in the mid 90s (Watch him in action).

Lexi joined the Vermont Adaptive team in July 2019 as Team Manager and in 2022 was promoted to Major Gifts Officer. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and NH & VT Council of Charitable Gift Planners. While raising her son, she worked in several part-time positions at Rutland City Public Schools plus winters at the retail shop at Pico and she spent two years at United Way of Rutland County before transitioning to full-time at the school as the Special Education Administrative Assistant at Rutland High School and Coordinator of the Free & Reduced Meal Program for the district.
Earlier on, she spent many years on the road doing interesting market research projects including being part of the team for VISA performing the first field-tests for the contactless/RFID payment technologies, doing QSR drive-thru studies, performing anonymous customer service evaluations and business audits plus being a French fry evaluator for McDonald’s! For many years, she coordinated the annual Pico Ski & Snowboard Swap and served on the Pico Ski Club Board of Directors. She currently volunteers on the Patient and Family Advisory Council at Rutland Regional Medical Center and at Mission Farm in Killington.
Lexi grew up in Chappaqua, NY. Her family built a ski home in Killington when she was in high school and she knew she wanted to someday make her permanent home in Vermont. A detour for college took her to Southern California where she earned a BS in Business Administration from Pepperdine University. She enjoys traveling, walking her dogs with her husband, skiing with friends, driving her Mini convertible, kayaking on the beautiful bodies of water in Vermont and capturing and sharing images of all of it!
Jasmin joined the Vermont Adaptive team in April of 2023. After working many office jobs, she realized she wanted to work somewhere that makes an impact. When riding at Pico Mountain, she saw the Vermont Adaptive team at work and jumped to see if there was any way she could be a part of the organization.
Jasmin is a 2022 graduate of Castleton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art and Media and Communication, with a minor in Graphic Design. In college, she was a writer and page designer for The Castleton Spartan and a freelance journalist for the Chester Telegraph. She is very passionate about the arts and is an avid painter. Her artwork has been displayed in many gallery spaces across Rutland County. Her past work includes being a freelancer and a client service representative at a local sign shop.
In her spare time, she enjoys snowboarding, spending time with her friends and family, visiting art galleries, and creating new works of art.
Mac has been a client and involved with Vermont Adaptive since 2000. He joined the staff in 2004 and works on fundraising, grant application and sponsorships. Mac is originally from Rutland, Vermont and currently resides there. He has been involved in adaptive sports and recreation for many years and is an avid sailor and skier and enjoys paddling and biking. Mac attended University of New Haven and graduated with B.A. in Music and Sound Recording in 1998. Mac is a keyboard player and plays in a local band. “I started out as a participant with Vermont Adaptive and now as a staff member I am inspired by the exposure to outdoor activity that the organization provides me. And I love the social aspect that it provides with other adaptive athletes.”
Kip has been employed at Vermont Adaptive since 1999. He has been living in Vermont since 1985 with wife Karen. Kip has been practicing law since 1990 and has held a variety of positions with businesses, banks and with the State of Vermont. Kip is also active outdoors. He received his undergraduate degrees from Stockbridge School of Agriculture and University of Massachusetts and law degree from Vermont Law School.
A volunteer Board of Directors governs Vermont Adaptive. These directors are dedicated individuals whose expertise lends to the organization’s vitality. Board meetings are held quarterly. Our fall annual meeting is open to all staff, volunteers, and participants and is held to celebrate the organization’s successes and set the course for the next year.
