Vermont Adaptive's Professional Certificate
Vermont Adaptive’s Professional Certificate in Adaptive Sports is awarded to Vermont Adaptive Interns and Apprentices who demonstrate a commitment to professional excellence through a combination of additional training and experience. Interns and Apprentices who complete more than 400 hours of program service as well as a series of trainings and professional certifications are awarded the Professional Certificate as a way of demonstrating to future employers that they are qualified to be front-line adaptive programming staff at adaptive programs across the country.

Adaptive Sport Professional Certificate
- ASPC
- Ages: 18+
- To receive the Vermont Adaptive Adaptive Sport Professional Certificate, candidates must complete:
- Be enrolled in the Vermont Adaptive Apprenticeship or Internship Programs
- Complete 400 hrs or more of program time
- Complete or hold AHA Heartsaver Adult, Child, Pediatric FA/CPR/AED or higher (or equivalent)
- Complete BlazeSports America CARSS I or higher or BlazeSports America CASC.
(one must be completed during certificate program)
- Complete or upgrade one professional adaptive coaching credential from one sport specific credentialing body (PSIA, AASI, BICP, ACA, AMGA, Paradox, etc)
(one must be completed during certificate program)
- Complete or hold SafeSport “CORE” Trained status
- If previously “SafeSport Trained, candidates will refresh AND take “Creating Safe Environments”
