EveryBODY Rides with AARP VT – Lamoille Valley Rail Trail

July 27 @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

Join AARP Vermont, Vermont Adaptive and the Vermont Mountain Bike Association for a ride on the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail in Morrisville. We encourage people of all ages and abilities to participate – all are welcome!

The event will kick off at Oxbow Riverfront Park with light refreshments, basic bike tune-ups provided by Power Play Sports, fit-ups for adaptive equipment and a short welcome. The host nonprofits will share resources, upcoming programs/events and how you can get involved in your communities.

After the welcome, tune-ups and fit-ups, folks will start their ride going on approximately 6-mile, 16-mile or 22-mile out and back sections towards Hyde Park.  At the Hyde Park Trailhead parking area, Dog’s Head parking area and at the intersection of the Trail and route 15 there will be water and aid stations. You can continue riding beyond the intersection of the Trail and route 15, but there will not be any host organization riders continuing with you.

We ask you to bring your own bike, request adaptive equipment from Vermont Adaptive or rent a bike from a local bike shop. More details about how to request adaptive equipment and our recommended bike rental shops will be in the confirmation email you receive after you register.

NOTE: The Lamoille Valley Rail Trail is a gravel path, we suggest you bring a hybrid or mountain style bike. A bike helmet is required. Please bring your own water bottle and wear proper shoes.

This event is free, but space is limited and registration is required. We will ride rain or shine.
