COVID-19 Policies

“RESPECT THE PLAY” COVID-19 GUIDELINES

November 1, 2023

Until further notice, vaccination and boosting against COVID-19 are strongly encouraged but not mandatory for all Vermont Adaptive Programs. However, out of respect for the health and safety of our community and for individual needs and risk factors, we are asking that all members of our community:  athletes, companions, volunteers, interns, and staff, please use caution, take precautions, and respect the needs of all community members. Additionally, if someone you are working with requests that you wear a mask, we should all respect that request and wear a mask.

Thank you for adhering to these RESPECT THE PLAY practices:

  1. We STRONGLY ENCOURAGE ALL Participants (athletes, companions, volunteers, interns, staff) to be fully vaccinated and boosted.
  2. We will ALL agree to wear a mask if someone, anyone, we are working with requests it.
  3. We will ALL meet each other where we are-  if someone we are working with is wearing a mask, we ALL will too.
  4. We will ALL complete a daily verbal health check and stay home if we are sick or we can’t pass the health check.

These RESPECT THE PLAY practices are effective as of November 1, 2023 and apply to all Vermont Adaptive Programs.

We continue to monitor and comply with required and suggested Covid-19 standards and guidelines, prioritizing the safety and wellbeing of participants, volunteers, staff, and members of the Vermont Adaptive community and doing everything possible to make every lesson happen, but we cannot guarantee it.

Choosing to participate is solely at the risk of the individual and not Vermont Adaptive. If in doubt, we encourage you to stay home and stay safe.
