We are excited and grateful for this new collaboration with our friends at 14th Star Brewing – “Empowerment” — a new hazy Vermont Pale Ale perfect for enjoying after a day of play in the Green Mountains with proceeds from its sale benefitting Vermont Adaptive.
Congratulations to our naming contest winners who came up with the perfect name of “Empowerment” – Erin McCallum, Randy Mead, and Carolyn Stocker!
Members of the Vermont Adaptive team joined in to learn about how to brew this specialty beer, which is 14th Star’s take on a modern style pale ale, a west coast meets Vermont. This hazy light straw colored beer has notes of grapefruit and tangerine. It also has the OG dankness associated with West coast IPAs to blend the two coasts together and create a very well balanced beer. 14th Star is proud to use a hearty amount of Vermont kilned wheat from Vermont malt house as well as Vermont grown hops from Champlain valley hop farm in this beer. The slight bitterness pairs well with big juicy flavors of tangerine and grapefruit as well as a soft finish from its house yeast used for NE IPAs. Sliding in at 5.5% ABV, this beer is perfect to enjoy a few for some Apres fun. (written by 14th Star Brewing).
Round one of this tasty brew can be found on taps only at various places at Killington Resort, Sushi Yoshi, the Lookout Tavern in Killington, The Woodstock Inn, Sugarbush Resort, Bolton Valley Ski Area, Brownsville Butcher, Taps Tavern in Poultney, and the Coleman Brook Tavern at Okemo Resort. Much more to come in 2023 with this beer, with draft offerings this winter and cans to come later in 2023.
