HELPFUL HINTS
PICO SKI RESORT • Our program desk is in a temporary location until our new state-of-the-art PEAK lodge building is completed. We are llocated on the ground level of "C" Building as you enter the main entrance to Pico Mountain. If you use a wheelchair or can only walk short distances you may pull between the buildings and unload at the door. Someone will park your car for you after you’ve gotten situated in the lodge. • All Food Services and the Pico Lounge are located on the second and third floor of the base lodge. These areas are not accessible by elevator but volunteers are more than happy to make lunch and snack runs for clients. We are excited to announce the new Andrea Mead Lawrence Lodge at Pico Mountain campaign, where Vermont Adaptive will have its permanent home in a completely accessible building. The plan is to break ground on this building later in 2012. Click here for more details on the building and how you can be a part of this exciting project. • For any additional questions, please do not hesitate to call the Southern Program Coordinator at 802-353-7584.
SUGARBUSH RESORT • Wheelchair users or those with walking difficulties: When you arrive at the Mount Ellen base lodge, pull up into the handicapped parking area. There will be Mountain Ambassadors assisting with parking. Ask one of them to let the Vermont Adaptive Office know you are here and need assistance getting up to the office. • Cafeteria, Retail sales Guest Services and an Accessible bathroom are all located on the main floor of the base lodge. Once you get to the Vermont Adaptive office these are all easily accessed. • For any additional questions, please do not hesitate to call the Northern Program Coordinator at 802-343-1193.
